Uherske Hradiste Wine Festival 2015

Mayor Redman and Cllr Smedley in UH

September is the time of the Uherske Hradiste Wine festival.We try to take a Mayor over there if we can. This year (as we usually do) we succeeded. Hence our civic group was Cllr Leigh Redman (Mayor) Mrs Tracy Redman (Mayoress) Cllr Brian Smedley, Cllr Peter Johnstone, Mrs Janet Johnstone, Mr Tim Mander, Mr Dean Fox and Mrs Karen Fox.

The group flew from Bristol to Prague, spent a couple of nights there and then headed east for Moravia. The programme went something like this;-

Mon 7 sept	The Mayor flies in Fly Easyjet  EZY6267  Bristol to Prague 1820 arr 2120 Transfer to hotel by public transport Accom Hotel Arlington Kurta Konrada Praha-Liben
Tues 8 sept	Mayoress tries some aerobics 0800-0900 breakfast 0900 Guided tour of Prague 1900 Social evening with Czech friends
Wed 9 sept	Nutcase, Dr Evil and Confused Mayor 0800-0900 breakfast 0900 -Free time in Prague Free evening
Thurs 10 sept	2 Mayors and 1 Glorious Leader 0800-0900 breafast 1000 Travel to UH by mikrobus – Accom;- Hotel Maxi, Marianske Nam, UH 1500 Familiarisation tour of UH 1900 Social event with Bridgwater/UH friends at U Juraku wine cellar
Fri 11 sept	The Bridgwater delegation 0800-0900 breakfast 0900-1100 Mayoress led the flying option in the small plane of Antonin Machala while the Mayor had a go on the flight simulator 1100-1300 visit to Akropolis family centre 1300 Lunch with UH council 1430 visit to Slovacke Muzeum 1600 Opening of New Slovacko Market 1700 Polish & Hungarian delegates arrive/CM Ohnica perform in Masaryk Nam 1800 Dinner with all twinning reps 2000 Opening ceremony of UH wine festival
Sat 12 sept	Bridgwater 'on the march' 0800-0900 breakfast in Hotel 0900 Participate in Procession-Vinohradska to Masaryk Nam 1300 Goblet of wine at Hotel Slunce + buffet 1500 Microregions (stalls etc) 1800 Hungarian Wind Orchestra in Masaryk Nam 1900 Dinner 2000 Vinohradska wine wanderings
Sun 13 sept	Mayoress makes friends 0830-0930 breakfast 0930 wine tasting in Reduta (+Fair and Markets) 1200 Lunch 1400 departure to Prague (Airport by1955) Fly 2155 arr 2305  Easyjet EZY6268
